Remember back a couple years ago, when Zo was Morticia? Crikey, that was only last year! It was adorable. Are you paying attention out there?
Anyway, I promised I’d dig up the image of Zak as her partner in costumes and share that. The pair are still deciding what they will be this year, so we don’t have a shot of that fitting yet. Don’t fret. This is a winner–even if it’s a bit Groucho.
What do you mean? Well, to begin with, Gomez is a bit Groucho. The pair hold a certain resemblance, as if Groucho is Gomez gone absolutely animal crackers. Say what you want, but Gomez has his stuff together. His outfits are on point, as is his slick back, and that tiny stache. Dude is fire.
And, of course he is! Have you seen Morticia. He can’t bring his D game, with ill-fitting suits, shoe polish moustache, and rambling brows. However, try to get Zak’s feathers to lay back. The best we got is a slick part. Those feathers are something else to deal with. He did manage to get a nice neat little mustache on his beak, having saved some molted body feathers to fit the build. Little gel, and he shaped them into an interesting interpretation.
My favorite part is the striped suit and cravat. Buddy looks slick. Zo was so excited when she saw the whole fit, to the point we were surprised she let it go after Halloween. She hasn’t asked him to wear the suit since. That said…I wonder. I really do wonder what they’ll pull for this Halloween…
