Another 5 STARS for K. Williams
Once again, I picked up one of William’s novels thinking that it would be a nice, leisurely read. Nope. I was wrong–again. The next time I start a book of hers, I will make sure that my work is completed, my children are fed, and that I have enough time the next day to recover from what will certainly be a sleepless night devouring her words.
From the first page to the last, this book captivated me. The story takes off in the prologue, hooking your attention with murmurings of dark family secrets and a formidable father who will stop at nothing to keep them hidden. This book has it all: conspiracy, lies, history, Nazi spies, and that one character that you absolutely hate to love.
Aside from it being a fast-moving, edge-of-your-seat mystery, William’s thorough research and attention to detail add so much flavor to this story that you feel better about yourself for reading it.
A shadowy past becomes a sinister future…OP-DEC: Operation Deceit
It’s 1933 and the height of Boston’s social season. Claire Healey overhears a terrible argument between her industrial-tycoon father and her socialite mother. Claire’s father sends her mother away, declaring she is hysterical with fatigue. Displaced by this disastrous outcome, Claire is brought to New York by her spirited aunt, to be raised beyond the reach of the damaging turn of events.
Nine years later, Claire returns to her childhood home to face her past once more. The world has long since exploded in war. A mysterious stranger named Carsten Reiniger has infiltrated the scene, placing his commanding presence among the old familiar faces of Boston’s elite. Intrigued by the newcomer, Claire struggles to piece together his identity and finds a dangerous connection to her troubling past.
When Claire’s prying comes to light, she and her aunt are whisked away in the middle of the night to ensure their silence. Can Carsten Reiniger be trusted or is he implacably loyal to duty alone?
In the late 90’s, during a stint in rehab, Elicia Hyder was approached by a prophet who said, “Someday you will write a book.”
She was right.
Now a firm believer in the prophetic word, Elicia Hyder is a full-time writer and freelance editor living in central Florida with her husband and five children. Eventually she did make it to college, and she studied literature and creative writing at the American Military University.
Her debut novel, The Bed She Made, is very loosely based on the stranger-than-fiction events of her life. It is available on Amazon.

The Soul Summoner
Blessed–or cursed–with a connection to the souls of others, Sloan Jordan can see the best in people… and the worst. For twenty-seven years, she’s kept her ability a secret, but eleven young women have been murdered in the mountains of North Carolina, and Sloan may be the only hope of finding their killer. She has just agreed to help Detective Nathan McNamara with the case, when a stranger—who is as alluring as he is terrifying—shows up at her doorstep with a dark past and another puzzling mystery: she can’t see his soul at all. Now Sloan is on the hunt for a deadly psychopath with two irresistible men. One of them would die for her, and the other would kill to keep her safe.
“Two sexy men, a sassy heroine, gruesome mystery and clever, fun dialogue make for a perfect weekend book! And if you hate cliffhangers, never fear; Hyder delivers a great story with an ending that both wraps things up and leaves you anxiously waiting for the next book!” – L. W. Stewart, Amazon Review
