Welcome back for another installment of The Blue Honor Vlog. Subscribe to my channel on YouTube. As a subscriber, you’ll get episodes of Shagbottom Theater, updates from the blog, and watch the process of making book trailers. And! You’ll be first in line to see it all. Once a video is ready, it’s uploaded, and you don’t have to wait for it to come out on the blog or even in the newsletter. Let’s get started!
Being an author, I’m well aware of the hurdles that prevent people from writing. One of the biggest can be learning how to do proper research. There are multiple elements at play. Not least of these is the worry that you’ll be outed as a fraud. Secondary to that, wondering how much must absolutely be done to do justice to your vision. And then a long list runs on from there. Once again, I have you covered. Watch the video. You’ll learn and be set at ease.
Resources for you to learn how to be a better researcher…
Appleby, Joyce, Lynn Hunt and Margaret Jacob, Telling The Truth About History (New York: W.W. Norton
& Company, 1994).
MacMillan, Margaret, Dangerous Games: Uses and Abuses of History. New York: Modern Library, 2009.
Kuhn, Thomas, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, 3rd ed. (Chicago: University of Chicago Press,
1996).
