Does Zo require some explaining?
Zo Duck is a continuing series of comics and art that I have been creating since the 1990s. With the advent of technology and a means to display this work in the early aughts, I began working more on pieces. However, books and life created pockets of Zo-less days. Never have I really explained in writing who Zo is. Let me do so now.
Zo is a stuffed duck who was purchased by a young woman, Lady, or perhaps given her in childhood. The important point here is that she’s a stuffed animal, and not an actual duck. Zo is a seasoned character, meaning she has many years under her wing buds, and those years have made her cynical and cutting at times, but she loves deeply and is very discerning. She does not care for the men Lady dates, and she doesn’t put up with the crazy schemes her friends create. Alex and Zak are also stuffed animals. Alex is a claw game alien, while Zak is a black goose with a white fluffy head, about the same size and build as Zo. Thus, they’ve a clear attraction to one another. Zo can be a bit of a narcissist. She may not have time for schemes brought up by others, but she’s scheming all day long.
As for the dog, the dog is Lady’s pet. And bear is dog’s toy. No wonder bear is so wounded of pride, and so scrappy.
