Eden is probably one of the most recognizable names on the map of Zion. It featured prominently in legends from Earth, especially in those stories about the creation of the planet. Eden is such a striking land that it leaves quite an impression on the souls who witness it. Therefore, it is no wonder the images bubble through the programming of the bio-vessels that write about it.
This particular land can be described as something of a park. It is the pristine countryside of Zion. Both souls and duta reside in the vast stretches of meadows and forest. The north is far more populated than the south, due to the proximity to Arcadia and also the perpetual light.
Eden is preferred by those who enjoy country living and distance between homes. As stated above, some houses are closer together depending on the locale. For the most part there is enough distance between each home that they can only be seen by their lights at night. There is nothing to fear in the uncultivated areas of Eden. Residents view it as paradise.
These lands are the location of almost all the horticulture and agriculture in Zion. Not everyone who lives in Eden is a gardener or farmer, however. Eden residents enjoy the freshest produce from small markets in each district. These markets provide a way for the population to come together and bond. Markets logically give rise to cities and towns. Their presence in Eden has had no less of an effect. Still, the towns remain small and unobtrusive to the landscape.
A well-known resident of Eden is Captain Maiel. Her husband, Dominic, moved their family there after he left the Sun Order. Travelling to work, for Maiel is no issue, as she can move at great speeds, traversing the distance in no time. Thus, they have provided a quiet and nature centered upbringing. The move also provided Argus and his pack with a more natural living condition for their kind. Ideally, wolves live in Elysion to the south, which is far more wild.
Returning to the lore of Eden, let us explore the landscape itself. Eden hugs the Urva Sea, its west and east sides jutting into the water. To the north is Arcadia, parted from Eden by a breadth of Urva. To the south lies wild Elysion. There are no notable rivers running through Eden, but the province does have tributaries, which are not depicted and therefore unnamed on the map. The fertile expanse is the greenest in all of Zion. This detail explains why the main industry is agriculture.
