Topic: Let’s talk fun. What do you consider fun? Drinks with friends, camping, music, shooting pool, picnics, watching television. Show us your fun times.
I do a lot. Everyone who knows me, if you asked them that question would say that I am a very hard worker–ambitious. The question of what I do for fun is a bit odd to me. I do what I love for a living. That is my fun. I love nothing more than biting into a new book, getting my opinion on a hot topic issue off my chest, mocking up a new graphic, taking photos, painting, cooking and the list goes on and on. I even enjoy my research, which can be reading or watching.
That said, I’m guessing that what was meant by the question is what do you do other than your really awesome fun work for fun?
I do not play as hard as I work. When the time comes to refuel, I’m interested in lazier pursuits, such as reading a classic novel, playing solitaire and mahjong while I listen to my music and playing with or walking my dog. So boring, right?
Hanging out with my best bud, Miss Shagbottom is a highlight of my day. If I’m away from home, I often miss her terrible. Her unconditional love and loving peacefulness stand in contrast to my hectic life.
Well, considering what I do is pretty exciting and takes up a ton of time to accomplish, there’s not much room left for things like sky diving. Even worse–if I were to play a sport I always choose golf, or maybe yoga. Calm pursuits in the middle of the storm are really helpful for de-stressing in the face of blog and book deadlines. That sense of well-being and taking care of myself, is greater than any rock climbing high I could get. Besides, I’m afraid of falling (not heights–heights won’t hurt you, but a fall from one might).
Did I mention that I collect action figures and movie memorabilia?

But, before you go. Check out Christine Ardigo’s work:
One boring Saturday evening in September, she sat in front of her computer and decided to write. “It became an obsession. Something I buried away for years had finally unleashed. It was my passion. Storytelling. Something I lost sight of as I traveled down my conveyor belt of a life. It was all I wanted to do.”
Ardigo has published 2 contemporary romance novels. Both are currently available on Amazon. To return to her answer to today’s question, click here.
