If it’s not clothes, hair, and lipstick—then it’s food! Claire May be denying her attraction to the golden rake that’s taken her on a whirlwind adventure, but she never says no to dessert. Topping her list is a Parker House original: Boston Cream Pie. Although she’s probably a fan of their rolls, she definitely prefers something sweet. Just a hint: if she’s not hungry, then something dire is wrong. That woman’s appetite is not easily quelled. How does she stay so trim? Being twenty-something and walking is a great help, but, let’s face it, she got her metabolism from her mother. I’m right there with her, at least at the dessert table, although I can’t complain much about my size either. Maybe just my height.
I did a little research on Claire’s favorite food, and I can share an authentic recipe from the house that now owns the property. “The recipe below was originally called the Parker House “Chocolate Cream Pie”, and was created and served at Parker’s Restaurant from the opening of the hotel in October 1856” (Omni Hotels). It’s a true classic that has been adapted throughout the years, like the Dunkin’ Donuts Boston Kreme Donut.
Got to the hotel blog to see it:

And here’s a pdf version to print:
It looks tough, but it’s not. It’s just a matter of putting the puzzle together. I hope you’ll give it a try.
Now, let’s go over and see what other recipes you can get from the authors in the hop.
