Topic: Tell us three things about you. What Makes you unique? Tell us Something We don’t know.

The three things that you might not know about me are:

1. I am obsessed with China.

You got it. I love Chinese culture, history…architecture, art, and the people. The long and rich history of the Chinese people is filled with daring and intrigue. They’re a people of resilience who came up through a similar progression of tribalism, feudalism and other isms, just like the West, but they did it first. Progress in mathematics and arts was well advanced in China before it ever advanced in European nations. Did you know they traded with the west? They did. The silk road was a byway that entered China from the Middle East. There are redheaded, tartan clad mummies in the desert! OMG CHINA! I love you!

Eh-hem. <<cough>> Moving on.

2. I have been cooking since forever–well since I could cling to my mom’s leg in the kitchen.

One of my early memories is helping make cookies with mom. I’d sit and watch them so they didn’t burn. I’d help do the cutters, the sprinkles and eat the raw sugar cookie dough. I loved sitting up on the high chair stool by the counter. I kept my mom company and it smelled so good in there.

When it came time do home-economics classes in Junior High, I was already well versed in the kitchen. So my compatriots in the group left making the apple coffee cake and other things to me, mostly. And, I was perfectly fine with that.

I love me a kitchen. I love food. I love food too much. Food is home and comfort and life.

3. I’m a Geek.

People still seem shocked when they find these things out about me: I collect action figures, movies, comics and t-shirts. I love animation. I have loved Captain America since I was a wee girl. Woodstock was my other bud. My office is covered in geekery. I get Spock like nerd rage during casting of films (stoic eyebrow raise with little to no comment). I just bought a whole bunch of boards and bags, for you know what. I dream of being able to make my own costume and going to comic-con. Before college and pursuing my writing career with all my energy, I enjoyed gaming. It has been too long. I am having withdrawal, but the nature of it has changed quite a bit and I fear I might not be able to pick up where I left off, in a matter of speaking. I prefer RPGs, single player. I tend to attract some of the worst people online, and the gaming industry is loaded with ass holes. Playing on my own is just fine.

Star Wars. Star Trek. Avengers. Cap. Justice League. LOTR. Potter. Lemony Snickets. Sherlock. Dr. Who…

Keep it all coming. Just wait until I finally get my hands on Neil Gaiman’s work. I will likely become as attached as I am to Burton’s work.

Does Alice In Wonderland fit into this? Because that is everything to me.

So those are three things about me that are unique and I haven’t spoken much about before.

Tracy’s love of writing began at nine years old. She wrote stories about aliens at school, machines that did homework for you, and penguins. Now she pens books and short stories about romance.
