At the outset of this blog, I had chosen to remain largely apolitical. My goals, were to talk about excellence in research, some things about writing, and expose you to causes that I care about with as minimal political soap-boxing as possible. No one likes to be preached to. No one likes to take sides. For an author maintaining a diverse readership, I think this is the best track to take.

However, there comes a time to take sides in life and this election season has become one of those moments for me.

Let me give you a bit of history about me. I’m a very intuitive person. I have always been able to read people, and I have never been wrong about them. Sure, I’ve done as others have told me and given them the benefit of the doubt, and paid a heavy price in those instances. The truth is, that in the initial moments of meeting someone I could write a book about them. You know. How Sherlock does. I think this puts people off about me, because as much as people despise being preached to and taking sides, they hate being seen through, because they often fear who they really are and it can be really uncomfortable to be that vulnerable. I promise I won’t hurt you! I’m not interested in spreading pain. I use that discernment for my own protection.

But, let’s move along, there is a lot to say. Tuck that little tidbit in the back of your mind.

Many people wear masks. None more so than the sociopath or narcissist. I will get to them in time. They take up too much of our attention and energy as it is. So, let’s be positive and set them aside until they absolutely must be mentioned.

That intuitiveness, the discernment, that I exercise in life extends to the things I learn. There is a lot of material out there and it wants you to believe this and that. You have always got to read while understanding that the author is coming at you with a bias, for better or worse. It is neither negative or positive. Those assessments are made by our personal bias. The same discernment must be done with every piece of information one encounters on the internet. It’s so easy to say, oh, that’s lame-stream media, or that’s this or that wing media. It’s really easy to say, oh, you read it on the internet. Not everything you encounter on the internet is bad information. Not everything is good. If you are firmly in the camp that the majority of what is posted is misinformation, you’d be oversimplifying the matter. Just like I hate hearing both parties are the same. They are clearly not, if you have been paying attention.

That is until now. And, this is important to remember. Some bizarre cross over has occurred.

The Democrats and Republicans are similar. Heck they used to be in reversed camps back before Civil Rights. That is not something I or they would deny. After all, they do work across party lines to get things done. At least they did until 2008. Where they differed were in policy on social and economic issues. Never did they disagree about the fundamentals. The Constitution is the cornerstone of our American law and democracy. They didn’t ever really interpret it that differently—until recent years. Where they differed is in how they would use the document to their advantage for their end game. Whatever that was.

The thing is, they all came from the fundamental base of being in public service as caretakers. Whatever it was they were caring for, they claimed it was the people of this nation. They grew up wanting to be statesman, and most became politicians, it is true. The saying that absolute power corrupts absolutely exists for very good reason! At some point in their life, whether it was being born into privilege or battling their way into the DC belt, their focus changed from caretaker benign, to caretaker injurious. Their base of reasoning became further focused on selfish reasons, but they also cloaked this like it was something to be ashamed of, even when they were blatantly self absorbed like Mitt Romney. (Why did we let him get away with admitting he abused his dog anyway?)

That base I just spoke of is the real problem. It’s patriarchy. The mass corruption inherent in the system is stemming from that patriarchal view that men of means and power should oversee the rest of humanity. That base also views people of color and women as less than them. These are the fundamentals of patriarchy. I hope that I don’t need to go over what that means. In case you’ve been living elsewhere, the link on the word will take you to a place that will give you a crash course. In the meantime, please hold your comments of not all men, because this isn’t about sexism per se. It’s more closely related to a feudalistic way of life that never left European government and social structures. We most certainly are modeled on those same machines.

In order for women and people of color to survive that structure, they’ve had to adapt and play by the rigged rules. So, when they reach the top, they have often lost their perspective. They get used to it. It feels like the natural state of things, and they stop questioning it. This is how things are. Why do they defend it so vehemently? Because they have learned to work in this structure that should have technically killed them off, and they think they know how to do it well. They want to protect that accomplishment, because they feel they have reached the point where they can make a difference. They feel they have paved a way for others. Of course, this is at odds with the priorities they have and the debts they owe.

For instance, Secretary Clinton fought tooth and nail to achieve the spot she is in now. She feels she’s paid dues and insists that she knows better than those who are living outside of the machine, something she likely gained from her experience with politics early on. Likely, she’s also convinced herself that she’s the best possible solution for what our country is facing, or where we want to head. This is because she’s worked to get to this point and feels she can work in the machine that didn’t grind her up. Add that to how power corrupts (look at all her scandals, lies and problems–use google; it’s a great tool), and you have quite the monster on your hand.

Indeed, I am saying that Clinton is a patriarch. You might say in the face of this that her opponent, Senator Bernie Sanders, fits that bill much more clearly than she does. Yes, he is a male and he is considered white. That said, Jewish people are a minority and one that has suffered horrible hatred that resulted in widespread abuses throughout time. The Holocaust wasn’t the only time they faced violence because of prejudice. If we set that aside, we also find that he’s a man who stood against the system and has done so consistently throughout his tenure of public service. Since the 1960s, Sanders has been speaking against patriarchy and its policies. Back in the 1960s, Hillary was all for segregation and patriarchy, fawning over Goldwater.

Before you dismiss this as an attack on Clinton, keep in mind these are the facts. If the facts make you uncomfortable about supporting her, then that is her fault, not yours or mine. Maybe you should reconsider supporting this person who voted for the Iraq War, who was homophobic until 2013, and is under investigation by the FBI. Do you really want to support someone who has had to evolve on the issues over the person who has always been on the right side of things? Before you additionally dismiss these things as right wing attacks, ask yourself why they shouldn’t matter just because a right wing source broke the story first? Maybe it’s because our left was giving her a pass when they shouldn’t have been. Isn’t that scary? It should be as scary as the election fraud we’re increasingly seeing in our elections. She’s beating the drums of war with Iran. Do you really want to send more soldiers to die for her mistaken choices? Besides, the truth is, VERY left wing sources are covering all of her issues. I have a running tab.

These facts are not attacks, and you can’t keep brushing off criticism with gaslighting excuses like that. It only makes us more vulnerable allowing a pass because you happen to support the person who will win. Clinton supporters should be calling for investigations of these election problems right along side Sanders supporters. Yet, they’re not. At least, they’re not being very loud about it if they are. Guess what, I’m not the only person to have noticed this behavior.

What I want to know is why they trust someone they had no trust for in 2008? And why someone like me, who has powerful perception is going ignored on top of that? I’m not the only intuitive or intellectual being brushed aside, either.

Part of how the patriarchy has maintained control this whole time is through the air of inevitability. That inevitability, the idea that their continuing to rule is given and we aren’t allowed to question it, because God or whoever granted them this seat at the table. And this is where the discussion on sociopathic narcissists should come in. SNs believe they are gifted and should be at the head of the line. They look down on everyone else, thinking other people are incapable or worse. And, they convince others of their supremacy.

If Clinton isn’t a patriarch and she isn’t a narcissist, then why does she feel so entitled to our votes and the seat of president? Why does she lose her cool with activists trying to nail down her stance on fossil fuels? Why is everything taken as a personal attack? Any journalist worth their salt has called her cries of sexism ridiculous. As a feminist, I call them that as well. Why the double standard? Why is there a meme depicting her raging with It’s My Turn. The presidency isn’t a schoolyard game! Her attitude smacks of spoiled and entitled.

Because patriarchs believe they are supposed to be in charge and that you should just fall in line. Narcissistic ones will manipulate and abuse you into believing it. Sociopathic ones will set a pack of wolves on you to stop you from pointing it out, and then get others to corroborate they had nothing to do with it, that the target somehow managed to do it to themselves. It’s a typical abuse cycle.

People around the world have been pointing out this struggle for centuries, and we didn’t believe them because we used to be the wolves the sociopaths in power used to maintain their patriarchal status quo. Now, we’re divided along so many lines, we’ve become the targets as we’re simultaneously being used to abuse the others. Divide and conquer. The patriarchy smelled the revolution like sharks smell blood in the water, and they did so a long time ago. They’ve faced coups for centuries, so they know what leads up to it. Maybe they even plan it into the cycle, every so often losing control for a time but manipulating their way right back to the top.

Yes, it is possible for a woman to be a patriarch. That is the invasiveness of patriarchy. Wake up!

If you don’t believe me, just look at the videos of Clinton dismissing the experience of Black men and women who are standing up for their rights, or the dismissal of environmental activists, the dismissal of millennials, and the dismissal of anyone who speaks against her inevitability. The internet is littered with tons of examples of it, and she needs to stop, because that is not feminism. Her supporters need to stop just the same, because they’re killing feminism with their double standards that are actually just patriarchy in action.

(Side Note: We Dems used to go to the same sources for this stuff, now all of a sudden, her supporters are refusing to look at The Young Turks and other similar outlets for information. I had a guy tell me no Daily Kos, a site that admitted they would be rigging their news in her favor come April. WTF? Then again, I get mansplained by so many of her male supporters it’s cartoonish. So what can you do. )
