Fall is here. I don’t care what anyone says. It happens on September 1st, midnight, every year. I know what the calendar says, but I have my own sentiments about that. The leaves will be turning soon. The nights are already cooler. The days are comfortable again. Bears are ravenous as they try to fatten up for winter. And with this change in the weather comes APPLES.
Apples means all kinds of baked wonderfulness. Bear is totally with me on this. He knows he’s a stuffed toy, but he can’t help his drive to hibernate. The poor guy has had his ear chewed and his eye popped off by the doggy, so cut him some slack if he gets his matted paws all over the apple pie. Bear deserves a little something nice to make all the boo-boos not seem so bad.
I for one am ok with that. I just don’t want the little guy to burn his mouth! Please wait for it to cool and use a knife to cut a piece.
Below, I caught Bear in the act of just about to dive in on that fresh apple pie.
