Welcome back for another installment of The Blue Honor Vlog. Subscribe to my channel on YouTube. As a subscriber, you’ll get episodes of Shagbottom Theater, updates from the blog, and watch the process of making book trailers. And! You’ll be first in line to see it all. Once a video is ready, it’s uploaded, and you don’t have to wait for it to come out on the blog or even in the newsletter. Let’s get started!
This month, I’ll answer the reader question: what was (is) your favorite age?
Choosing when was your favorite age is a nostalgic trip, so it is perfect for this time of year. I often find myself looking back in the late fall/early winter. That’s not always good for depression and anxiety, and that may be one of the reasons some struggle during the season. Looking back can be littered with holes that send your right down another dark time. They can seem bright and shiny, but pinning too much for days gone by can lead to other consuming feelings.
I’ve had to learn to stay upbeat in the face of a world that has made just surviving a bleak prospect. Thus, looking back at my favorite age, you’ll hear me couch my ideas about it in what I believe are the best terms to consider it in. I don’t pine for it. Instead, enjoying the memory of the feeling I had back then allows me to feel that way again. I think that’s a much better way to approach it. It may seem semantical, but it’s really not.
Find out on the video, what my favorite age was and why it remains so to this day….
