The Trailokya Trilogy Companion is a continuing online manuscript that illustrates and explains some of the details of the story, helping readers to keep things straight while they travel through the series. The companion is organized alphabetically for reader convenience. In each section, the entries listed in dictionary form along with original artwork and excerpts from the Trailokya Friday blog posts. The third book in the trilogy boasts a title that hints at someone’s rising. But what does a lucent rise mean? Lucent is defined as giving off light or having a glowing quality. The implication is that this rising is powerful, it is meaningful, and restorative.
When readers left the series last, Holly had survived a violent domestic violence incident, left grappling with the aftermath. Close friends had failed her while the shadows used every opportunity to leverage the growing distances and fears. Just as she is making connections to the world she longs to work and belong in, everything crumbles.
But, what must crumble often provides the necessary materials for building stronger than ever. Just because it seems that she is on her own, a symptom of her trauma, depression, and anxiety, doesn’t mean that she really is. Holly stands upon the crossroads. In the final installment of this tale, readers will see at last see the choice she makes and if that choice results in saving Jett or if those ends are inevitable despite her.
We know by this time, the goal of every atman is to rise, or grow stronger and return to Nirvana. What readers don’t know is who will be next to accomplish this important step in their evolution. There are several candidates: Maiel, Alex, Gragrafel, Dominic, and Gediel to name the short list.
