It’s time again for another episode of Shagbottom Theater!
Are you as glad as I am that Spring is in full swing? I am not a fan of winter, but Fionn is. He loves to romp in the snow. I’m sure, though, that he feels as I do, that the warmer weather means more fun. Perhaps even some screwball antics.
With those feelings and the drive to parody Cary Grant throughout 2020, Fionn selected one of my all time favorite movies for this month: Bringing Up Baby (1938). It’s a fun frolic about the woods, chasing a Jack Russell over a prehistoric bone he’s taken off with. The snippet of Fionn’s production below is one of my most favorite scenes. David has fallen into the water, and he’s back at Susan’s home drying off in her fluffy robe, the only one available to him at the moment. The hijinks of this film are the best of all time.
Let’s take a look:
David Huxley: Who am I? I don’t know. I’m not quite myself today. These aren’t my clothes. I’ve lost my clothes! I’m sitting in the middle of 42nd Street waiting for a bus.
