♦Welcome to another edition of the Open Book Blog Hop!♦
What are your favorite writing-related blogs?
Welcome back to another edition of the Open Book Blog Hop! The authors included in this ongoing series wish to thank you for your reads. We appreciate, even more so, when you share our writings with your friends. If you’re new to the series, welcome aboard. The authors engage and impress weekly. Prepare to become a regular reader.
Be sure to take plenty of notes from this hop today. I am sure you’re going to find some useful tools to take away, and that’s really the heart of why we do this hop. We’re not just hoping to reach readers, but provide other writers with the tools they need to succeed, and to find voices that echo the struggle of a writing career, so they don’t feel lost or alone.
I’m going to share two blogs from which I’ve learned a lot, and in an area that many authors struggle. Both of these blogs are amazing resources, run by people who feel much the same as me: they want to help writers succeed. They’ve done this work. So the advice they give is field tested. You can take what they have to say or you can leave it. They understand that not every bit of advice works for everyone. They also know that you might not be in the mindset or position to heed the advice. Above all, they don’t push quick fixes that don’t work and charge you to get the inside scoop. They offer real services.
First up is Bad Redhead Media. The 30-day Book Marketing Challenge is a great boot camp that teaches authors exactly what they will need to do to market themselves (and therefore their books). Rachel knows her stuff. I went through this challenge with her and it gelled much of what I already knew, while adding additional tools to my arsenal. It’s no joke! There’s a lot to do. It’s worth the time.
Next is Mixtus Media. I have bookmarked so many of their posts. They offer a lot of information to writers and it’s brilliantly useful and easy to apply. They also offer courses online. I follow them on YouTube and Instagram. I also subscribe to their newsletter. It is worth it!
I’m so excited for the opportunity to share these resources with you. I hope you’ll find them as useful as I have. To continue collecting tools and resources for your writing, please click on one of the links below to continue the blog hop and continue your search…
