The Trailokya Trilogy Companion is a continuing online manuscript that illustrates and explains some of the details of the story, helping readers to keep things straight while they travel through the series. Readers can view this live companion book on Wattpad (either using the website or an app for their phone) absolutely free.
The companion is organized in alphabetical sections for convenience. In each section, the entries are organized like a dictionary along with original artwork and excerpts from the Trailokya Friday blog posts. In the coming weeks and months the blog will feature specific entries, to give you a taste of what is available in the companion.
assign.
An atman in incarnation under guardianship by council orders. Incarnations are when souls choose to take a bio-vessel form on one of the Samsaran planets and experience a life cycle. The intention is growth through experience. A bio-vessel is required to exist in samsara, a physical body. The term came into common use as a shortening of the term assignment. Guardians and Alders oversee atman incarnations, and refer to them as assigns for simplification.
Assigns are one of the most integral concepts of Trailokya. It’s the action and purpose on which the worlds revolve: experience. The single most important aspect of an assign is that it is the term for a being (atman) under guardianship in Samsara (our universe). Guardians have only one assign during a tour of duty. That individual requires that much focus.
An assign could be the responsibility of a duta or a danava. Danava also send atman into Samsara, although it is done differently. In these cases, the atman is placed into an already occupied bio-vessel, and the owner forced out (known as possession in occult terms). There are some who are shadow born, meaning that possessed bio-vessels reproduce to create offspring, and the burned down atman is placed in the fetus. The greatest difference between duta and danava assigns is that the permission and dharma (life plan) is never given or planned. Danava only have the order to disrupt and demoralize, corrupt, those they come into contact with.
Regulation of assigns on the duta side is the purview of Alders. They document and regulate the process, assigning guardians to souls. Pacts can only be made with the Alders’ process. This is for the protection of everyone involved. The dharma of one soul hinges on those of others, and the success of the guardian is vital in seeing the dharma contracts met.
Assigns can be other duta, not just souls. Duta sometimes incarnate to fulfill a dharma that requires their fortitude and constancy. They are largely indistinguishable from souls. Bio-vessels are incapable of seeing notable differences. They may sense something special about the person, fear them, or take note of those things happening around them (such as unprecedented bad/good luck). The incarnation of King Adonai’s son is a fantastic example of this. Many miracles and unexplained phenomena were attributed to him, while he was also plagued with suffering, mostly in the form of humans trying to control and humiliate him.
