Because of what time of year it is, I’m going to share my top 10 Holiday Films (or Specials). This year, they’re extra-special, as I am sharing them for the first time with a new baby daughter. I’ve looked forward to this for a greater portion of my life. To finally be at this point—I can’t express enough my excitement! I literally get butterflies in my stomach at the prospect of sharing my favorite things with my little bundle. At four, soon to be five, months old, she’s grown very aware of the world around her. Hopefully, I am making things special for her, like my parents did for me.
Let’s start with a gander at the pile…

So how would I rank the top ten of this pile? That’s a real tough thing to call, but I know I can start by choosing what I’d watch last (or closer to Christmas Day).
- A Year Without A Santa Claus
- Scrooge
- How The Grinch Stole Christmas
- Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed In At The House of Mouse (Featuring Mickey’s A Christmas Carol)
- Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas
- Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer
- A Charlie Brown Christmas
- Elf
- Santa and the Three Bears
- Nestor, The Long-Eared Christmas Donkey
I can’t say that this should be set in stone. It’s real hard to rank things like this, when they each have meaning in my life. However, this is the top of the crop. If all others were lost, I could go on. What are you top holiday must watch films/shows?
Let’s go to the hop and see what the other authors are listing…

The Christmas film I like is The Snowman. It doesn’t seem like Christmas without it!
Oh, yes! That’s a beautiful one. <3
Wow, you have a great collection of Christmas movies. That’s fantastic. I’ve seen a few of them myself and enjoy watching my grandkids enjoying the Christmas shows on television. Rudolph, Frosty and the like.
Thank you! Perks of having worked at FYE (music/movie store). We watched The Santa Clause movies tonight and it was interesting to see her stare at the tv in wonder.
