The Trailokya Trilogy Companion is a continuing online manuscript that illustrates and explains some of the details of the story, helping readers to keep things straight while they travel through the series. Readers can view this live companion book on Wattpad (either using the website or an app for their phone) absolutely free.
The companion is organized in alphabetical sections for convenience. In each section, the entries are organized like a dictionary along with original artwork and excerpts from the Trailokya Friday blog posts. In the coming weeks and months the blog will feature specific entries, to give you a taste of what is available in the companion.
For this initial entry, let’s Take a look at Section H, to get a feel for how the site works:
This is a convenient package of all information available on the trilogy that has been released thus far. Because of that, they won’t have to search this blog or flip to the back of the book (paper or ebook) and lose their place. There’s nothing more annoying than that (something I well learned reading the Wheel of Time series). Think of the convenience of a reference resource at your finger tips for the book you’re reading and you can access it by tapping on an app on your phone.
Another feature of the companion is the ability to leave questions and comments on entries or sections, which will be answered either by other readers or myself. That is the best attribute of utilizing the companion book. An offshoot of this element is the dynamic community that builds around the work.
When the books are released, and this includes related Trailokya books outside the trilogy, the companion will be updated with new entries. So, if you were thinking that the books were going to be hard to read, that is not the case. The point of the companion is to help remind readers of things they may have forgotten in other volumes. It’s also helpful when you’ve had to put the book down for a length of time and return to it confused about what is going on (and this does happen frequently in our busy world).
Download the app and you can also read the first book for free. The Trailokya Trilogy, Book Two: Burning Down is coming soon! Be ready!
