Miss Shagbottom isn’t known for her…tact. This video was taken back when Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey was under public scrutiny (again) for the bridge scandal. The star of our show is most unkind to Mr. Christie, as her angst about Republican tomfoolery has reached its limits.
When it comes to getting her play on or indulging in a treat, Sadie Sue is a serious dog. To get her what she wants, she has to have the attention of the human. Usually that human is her mom. Unfortunately for Miss Shagbottom, her mom is also a writer, which means mom’s head is glancing ever on a computer screen and not on the dog where it should be! Sadie has tactics though. She’s resourceful. Never fear, for she gets whatever her little red furry heart desires.

She thinks the hedgehog is scary and isn’t clear on the plastic meat looking thing, but that bacon tasting chew bone is going to be the best ever.
Happy Birthday, Sadie Sue Shagbottom!

Not that other dogs aren’t little garbage disposal units on legs, but these guys are totally out of control. I’ve never known anything like her – except when my Doberman drooled shoe laces over oranges. Ich liebe Orangen!
So, the love goes so deep that she threatens me with those deep brown eyes of hers. Try, just try, to deny the tractor beam on your food. I find myself giving my favorite bits to her…what the hell?
So, of course, Miss Shagbottom is a huge fan of marshmallows. We play catch with the little ones, and they are great for trick rewards. Just, they are too sugary to use many — or, as in this case, they’ve been warming in my cuppa cocoa. It’s true, too. I have been eating too many cookies. She’s got me there, but she can’t have raisins, or walnuts or chocolate and since I made oatmeal/craisin/walnut/raisin cookies (mum’s secret recipe) and chocolate chips (Toll House recipe), I was forced to batch her some pumpkin peanut butter ones.
That’s right! It’s another episode of…
